Repair

Every cherished piece carries its own memories and the passage of time.

We carefully work with each piece, preserving its unique character by embracing cracks and imperfections as part of its story, while restoring it with a natural sense of beauty.

Rather than simply returning a piece to its original form, we restore it so that it can continue to be used and treasured for years to come.

By carrying forward the story of each piece and gently supporting its next chapter, this is the kintsugi we practice.

01 Traditional Natural Adhesive

Cracks and chips are repaired using mugi-urushi, a 100% natural adhesive made by mixing wheat flour and urushi lacquer. It provides a strong bond that is highly resistant to separation.

02 Slow, Thorough Curing

After bonding with mugi-urushi (wheat-paste lacquer), the piece is left to cure slowly for about 1 week to 1 month until fully hardened.
We then use 100% natural “sabi” filler to fill gaps and refine the shape.

03 Multiple Layers of Lacquer

The repaired area is polished, then coated with several layers of lacquer. We repeat the process of applying → drying → polishing to achieve a smooth, refined finish.
